Why I include Medellín
In February 2026, a city tour introduced me to Medellín’s neighbourhoods and food. Another evening began alone in a bar and ended with a group of new acquaintances. I remember the openness of those conversations.
For your stay, I combine guided visits and free time around your interests.
The metro, cable cars and neighbourhoods
The metro and cable cars connect neighbourhoods across the valley and its hillsides. They also help explain the city’s transformation. Parks, cafés and cultural venues give you more ways to spend the day.
I include an introduction to the city’s history alongside its present-day life.
Comuna 13 with a local guide
I can arrange a local guide who explains the neighbourhood’s art, changes and daily life. I look for visits that involve residents and leave time for their stories.
Guatapé, Piedra del Peñol and Parque Arví
I can arrange a day excursion to Guatapé and Piedra del Peñol. Parque Arví offers another nature outing through the cable-car network. I choose outings around your interests and the days you have.
How long to stay
I recommend three to five nights for city visits and excursions. Medellín is generally mild to warm. I choose accommodation around your visits and arrange evening transport in advance.

Do I need an excursion every day?
