My two homes
My background, encounters and travels shape how I see Colombia. Growing up in Switzerland also shaped how I plan trips. I explain travel arrangements and the choices behind your itinerary.
Back in Colombia in February 2026
In February 2026, I travelled around Colombia for about a month, mostly alone. In Cúcuta, I met my former foster family again. At the airport, I felt as though I had never been away.
Later, I shared a meal with them. That meeting and the journey strengthened my wish to start Jairo Travel.
The places I visited
My route took me through Bogotá and the Cartagena region, then Cúcuta and Medellín. I continued to Santa Marta and the Tayrona area. I remember the people, food and openness I encountered in Medellín.
That journey shapes my questions and the experiences I include when planning your trip.
Why I plan travel
I enjoy turning your interests, pace and budget into a route. I begin with a conversation about what you want to experience.
How I work
I plan routes around places, travel times and the people you might meet. I use local recommendations and look for visits that involve residents. I ask where you want guidance and where you prefer free time.
Your first step
